Marketing Manager at (Peckham Levels) 


ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Manager is responsible for co ordinating the marketing deliverables across one of our sites.

They are responsible for driving the success and coverage of Peckham Levels  (via interest, positive perception, revenue and footfall) whilst also looking to fuel the growth of our Member Businesses (public and non public-facing) through story-telling and coverage. 

Broadly they will:

  • Run the full marketing channel mix for one site including, but not necessarily limited to:

○      Social - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest

○      Digital - CRM, Website, SEO

○      Print - ads, advertorial, Zines, Flyers, Posters & OOH (billboards)

○      Press - Local media spend

○      Outreach / On the Ground - promotional teams, local businesses

  • Work alongside the Head of Marketing to deliver multi-platform campaigns that look to target specific audiences

  • Drive site-wide revenue and footfall, customer satisfaction and social impact, in line with the agreed marketing strategy 

  • Curate engaging content and copy that meets the requirements of strategy objectives from a variety of sources both internally (team members, project members, partners) and externally (eg. professional writers, photographers, videographers etc.)

  • Promote the wide range of cultural and entertainment events on site to local and regional audiences

  • Ensure marketing activity is delivered to budget 

  • Manage contractors including PR agencies, digital agencies and promotional staff 

  • Support the full upkeeping of our websites and ensure that the content is up to date and regularly refreshed

  • Work with our design team to provide considered design briefs and provide consistent quality checking 


ABOUT YOU

At its heart, this role is about capturing the stories on site and amplifying them to our audiences on all of our platforms. We’re interested in meeting people who share our passion and who take pride in their role. The most important thing is that you are a solid project manager that can spin several plates at the same time. You are a keen problem solver, are highly organised and are able to build strong relationships.

What this is likely to mean in real life, is:

  • You have 3-4 years of experience, gained in-house or at a marketing agency

  • You have run multi channel campaigns from start to finish

  • You are confident in running the digital marketing side of things 

  • You have self-managed a diverse workload, prioritising and making difficult decisions about which activity will have the greatest effect

  • You have experience briefing and managing third party suppliers and agencies 

ROLE DETAILS

Location: On site (Peckham Levels). Although you will be required to sometimes travel to Make Shift’s head office in Brixton.

Working Days and Expected Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with flexible start times and a 1-hour lunch break every day. Any overtime will be paid where appropriate and agreed with your line manager.

Holiday: 30 days plus Bank Holidays pro rata
